Hi, my name is Genya Askelrod and I am the Office 365 engineer here at PowerObjects. Today I want to talk to you about Microsoft PowerApps. It is this great new tool released by Microsoft to let you create custom mobile apps on your cellphone, your tablet, PC or Mac.
You can do this without any coding or development experience. Take advantage of the easy to use UI or Microsoft functions to configure and manipulate your app. For example, let’s say you’re a Excel guy and you’ve been working with functions your entire career. Those are extremely transferrable skills that you can use within Power Apps to create your custom app.
In addition to not having to be a custom developer or coder, you can utilize the Microsoft integrations to connect to most databases. For example, if you capture a sales lead through the app and you wanted to push it into your CQL database, you can do that. That integration exists.
On the flip side, if you want to capture information that’s sitting in Power BI and you want to push it up to your Power Apps and work with the data that way, that’s possible as well. You can create a game to keep your kids busy or you can create a custom barcode scanning app to manage your inventory; the possibilities are absolutely endless.
